This question is so simple – but it really says it all when it comes to cutting down on the clutter in your home (or office, for that matter).  So often, we keep items for reasons other than practicality.  Maybe it was a gift, or a hand-me-down from someone special to you, maybe it’s useful life isn’t over yet – even though you no longer use it.  Maybe there was a time in your life that you went without, and now you relish in having excess.

You know how the rest goes, …..and everything in it’s place.  The first printed citation of this epigram is said to have been in December of 1827, by Charles A. Goodrich, who said, “Have a place for every thing, and keep every thing in its proper place”.

 

Fast forward 189 years…..having a place for everything and keeping everything in it’s proper place is essentially a 12 word definition for being organized. Easy peasy, right? (more…)
